After seeing some wonderful examples of (completed) DIY projects at friends’ houses and online, I started asking around some of the smaller businesses in my area and ended up with a pile of pallets in my garden that’s just waiting to change my life. Of course when I went to start one of my projects recently, I realised I hadn’t planned exactly what I wanted.
After a few hours spent trawling the internet for ideas, I’ve found 10 that I think are not only easy enough for most people to try out, but only require one pallet.
So whether you’re like me and have several pallets lying around, if you only have one, or even if you’re hoping to acquire one soon; here are some of the best projects around.
Remember to check the chemical treatment used (if there was any) on any pallets you acquire, and be careful of any old nails and splinters.

I think I’ll start with the raised garden bed as my wife has been talking about getting some lettuce and other easy-to-grow plants so we can be a little more self-sufficient.
Which of these do you like the look of? I think by the end of 2020 I will have built each and every one of them!
Pallets are a very cheap (often free) material to use for DIY projects, so go and reclaim, buy or find your new artwork.
Good luck and happy crafting to everyone out there!
